Default Well I took heR to the track last night

As it says I finally got the chance to take the car to the track last night. Conditions weren't that great as it was raining all day. Humidity was high and the temp was in the lower 80's upper 70's. I started the tire PSI at 27.5 and worked it down over the course of the night. I was quite impressed with my first run although my ET wasn't great my MPH was decent. Now if I can just bring my 60' times down a little I should be able to run a little faster. This is a bone stock R with floormats, spare tire and passenger seat removed. Let me know what you guys think could help with the 60'. I started out launching at 3500 and found my best spot at 5500 RPM. Now with the times. I'll post the slips soon

First pass.

R/T .560
60' 2.272
330 6.435
1/8 9.718
MPH 75.61
1000 12.530
1/4 14.903
MPH 94.00

Most passes were like this but my best pass was

R/T .459 Can we say RED LIGHT
60' 2.296
330 6.199
1/8 9.428
MPH 76.64
1000 12.208
1/4 14.569
MPH 94.45

My previous pass before this was a 1/4 14.6 at 95.15

Anybody know what ET should result from a 95.15 MPH pass or someone have a link for a MPH/ET calculator?

a 14.5@94 is pretty solid, yet bordering average taking into consideration the passenger seat and spare where out.

sure you could trim the 60ft down a BIT, but a 2.2 on streets via a FWD is pretty good as is, dont expect to be slicing 2.1's every time. i say work on some quicker upshifting as well, you'll be pleasantly suprised some more

Even on the 14.5 run I still had some spin and wheel hop so I'm thinking if I can eliminate them I should be able to bring the 60' down some and with that the ET should come down as well. The temp will be dropping soon here so I'm gonna take it out again soon and see what she runs

I had a couple of red light runs and a the rest were in the .5xx but then again R/T has nothing to do with ET. But it was just a fun night. Red lighted 4 of the 7 passes now it's just time to work on the tree and 60

i wouldn't say that the r/t is AS important as the ET, but shitty r/t isn't good. i had a 2.2 60' and a .501 r/t, but didn't get anywhere near you did. btw, it was due to motor problems.

What does it matter? RT means absolutely NOTHING unless you are bracket racing. On a normal night at a dragstrip R/T has 0 bearing over anything

I agree nightrider R/T isn't as important as ET but it sure is nice to hit low .5xx's consistently. I had a couple 2.2 60's but my ET was 14.9

i'm not saying that rt is IMPORTANT. i'm just saying it is a factor. so you're telling me if you consistently get .900s, it won't be a factor?

what the **** is your problem? i don't see why you're being so hostile. i never said that rt is the only thing that matters. i think that there are MANY factors that needs to be taken into account for good 1/4 times. anyway, what you said makes no sense and you're not going to convince me that rt isn't a factor with the 1/4 times.

the only reason that RT became an issue with this thread is because i made this comment. i made this comment because i went to the track and had a .501 RT, 2.2 60', and my ET came out to be 15.0. i just thought that maybe some people on the board that knew what happened would have seen this and poked a little fun. ANYWAY, i was not making an argument that RT is a factor that even needs to taken into consideration to get better times. i don't see how if HT is a place where people learn, there is so much hostility for stupid little comments.
hell, maybe i don't know what i'm talking about, why would anyone get all pissed off about it. it's not like i said anything remotely close to annoying people on the board like the stupid questions that always appear and can be easily searched for in the FAQ or archived posts. i think that SOME poeple have seriously gotten a stick up their asses and need to SURGICALLY get it removed.
to the original poster: if you are trying to get better times than you already have, check out
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=635736. i think you already have some VERY good times so i would just work on the skill you already have.

<----- very offended HT'er and wanting to GTFO!!!
