my buddy is selling his 96 civic and i love his car, the only problem he said it had was that the transmission needs a new seal where the shift linkage goes into the transmission. How hard would it be to fix this? should i just pass this car up and say no thanks?

 

i also work at a honda dealer, so i could get parts and labor at a discount.

 

you can't just take the car into the bay and put it on a lift since you work there already?

 

Not to mention the fact that he didn't mention how much the car is. If you can either get the seal replaced by him or get a little bit of a discount on the car then I don't see why not go for it if you like it that much.
