need help fast. car wont warm up?

Default need help fast. car wont warm up?

what up guys , i searched and couldnt find the answer. i moved to washington from vegas and now my car just doesnt warm up. its wierd , in idle it will warm up but takes like a good 15 min. but when i start to drive, it will just go cold again. any ideas>?

ps. my cold start is messed up and doesnt work.

The thermostat might be stuck open.

Car even have a thermostat?

If so may need checking and changing

Is your Coolant Mixed properly should be 50/50

Just get a new one there cheap like 10 bucks and takes about 10 mins to put in

yeah but see if my thermostat was stuck open then wouldnt the fan be on all the time?

No. The fan comes on at a certain temperature, not in conjunction with the opening of the thermostat. Do you have the stock radiator?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's probably the most obvious that is giving you your problems.

FIX teh cold idle, enjoy.

well thanks guys hope to fix it. well i was hoping i could figure out why i dont have a cold start, ive tryed some stuff but i really dont know what to do. also when i take out the iacv plug,the cars idle doesnt change so i know somethings wrong with that.

i have the same problem... itll warm up fine at idle sitting in my garage but when i drive... right back down to cold.. it wasnt the thermostat bc i replaced it... (that was when i had my dseries stil) and after the swap it still does the same thing (JDM LS Motor) im stumped.. i think it has something to do with my heater core bc my heat doesnt work for **** it always blows cold or luke warm air.... i need heat.. winters a commin

Plug the hole in your TB that goes to the cold idle with your finger. if it fixes it, there is your problem.

id say check the thermostat
it is located in the hosing that the radiator hose goes to
pretty sure its the lower hose but not 100% sure

Have you check your Coolant Mix?

Should be 50/50 Water and Antifreeze.

when i got a oil change they did a cooant test. but you guys could be right about that thermostat. the thing is is i thought your thermostat also controls when your fan turns on which it is doing right?
