i just traded my 94 eg coupe for a 92 cx hatch with a gsr swap. He has polyurathan (spelling ) bushings in the mounts. the car vibrates when its at a stop. my friend said that the motor mounts make it do it. is this the problem? and is there any good mounts that help this?

 

yeah, go back to stock...

Yes, poly mounts will make the interior vibrate at a stop. You won't even notice it when you are actually driving plus.. poly mounts keep the engine more stable when accelerating and speed shifting. Nothing is wrong with them.. just pretend you are driving a race car.

He's probably talking about wheel hop shifting into 2nd gear.

hahaha but yeah take off the bushings. I just bought a car that had them and took them out. if it was a racecar I wouldn't care but its not.

 

Im not too sure i know that my brother had a stage 5 clutch and his car would shake like **** when letting in and out the clutch, sorry i cant help you though possibly you motor mounts or your axle(s) binding or bad brakes. but just some ideas

 

its the mounts. but i took a ride in Toms car (b18c5-eh2) and his didn't shake... i didn't remember it doing that!

 

when mine did that i found out my rotors were warped, but thats just me
