which muffler will fit??????????
I have stainless steel JG performance headers, no cat, 3" piping, and a stock exhaust. my qeustion is would any muffler fit this piping or do i have to buy a specific muffler
match the piping diameter at the actual mating part with the diameter on the muffler mating part and you should be fine, the pipes can be stretched out a little to fit if they're slightly off
you have your stock muffler running with 3" custom piping? doesn't sound like an efficient set-up. to answer your question though, most aftermarket axlebacks can be swapped out in place of the stock one. i'm assuming there is some wort of bottleneck in your piping to accomodate the stock muffler. however, you should keep in mind that 3" piping is overkill unless you're boosted. 2.25" is ideal for mild and light mods and 2.5" for more serious mods is a good benchmark to follow.
i do have "certain" plans for turbo. already have a turbo timer.
it came with the car when i bought it along with the 3" piping with the stock muffler still on it. so is their any paticular muffler i should purchase for this to work or/and what sizes should I B looking 4?

everything is welded. from the headers to the stock exhaust. but of course the headers r bolted to the engine.
every muffler comes with a size...so you need to look for 3" inlet muffler and a brank you like...so...
just curious are you running turbo? or high power N/A....3" sound like you gonna lose power if you are running pretyt much stock..

How high is high?? 3" is still too big for n/a under 200hp.

you cant be running 3" piping into a stock muffler. the stock pipes are under 2". that would be a huge reduction.
if your looking for brands then get yourself a summit or jegs catalog. both sell magnaflow and house brands that would work fine. you'de have to find the right size though, and inlet/outlet location.

haven't had a problem with it so far. it's just HELLA loud with the stock muffler.

personally man...i dont know how much power you got right now....but let say ure running at 200 at the wheel...you still only need 2.5"....if you're pushing 250wheel (which is not that easy) then 3" is a must
other while...your car will be running like ****...man..lose lot of power...if you going to do piping 3 you might at well get new muffler with 3" inlet...stock muffler is out of the question for sure....
im running gsr with stock bolts on with 2.5" piping with new header and muffler...at low end..let me tell you running like ****...people though i got SOHC or retarded SOHC....but at high end....yeah baby spank me
