K20 is a little heavier on your wallet and will require lots of extra parts that will be more difficult to find. Also the only tuning platform is K-Pro ($$$$$). Other than that, K20 does make a great all motor platform and will put down 200++ with simple bolt-ons and tuning.

B18c5 has the same potential, it will just require a little more work to reach the same numbers. In the long run it shouldn't cost you any more than the K20 and parts and tech info are much more readily available.

A friend of mine has a turbo gsr. He bought a K20a from a friend of his at a local acura dealer for rediculusly cheap (I almost guarantee no one has found one as cheap ) He's had if for a couple weeks and has already decided to sell it. He said he doesn't want to go through gettting all of the parts, ect. I don't blame him, he's already putting damn near 300hp at the wheels.

good **** .... GOOD INFO
the thing is ... i can get the swap done with a hondata reflash for $5600.00 from some dude in So. Cal ... everything complete ... and the guy that does this has a EG with a K20 pushing over 200WHP with an intake headers and exhaust ... thas it ... and i know stock B18C5 modded with that setup will make about 190WHP if your lucky ... and for an all motor setup ... every little pony helps... .. but thanks for the info !!!!!!!

if you've got the money and time, get the k20. it will suprised a lot of people and it's going to be nice to say that you have the only k20 swapped eg in ur town (unless you are in a k20 swap happy city )

His name wouldn't happen to be Eric Hernandez of K20EG Innovations would it?

Do some research in the RR/AX forum, a WCHC team (search under Kiwi, special projects racing I think)is running that engine, and are having problems with upping the power and breaking rods, dont know how much they are making, but think of that as an added expense, aparently they arnt as strong as bseries stock rods.

They are fine if you stay with the stock rev limit.

BTW, if that does turn out to be his name, STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!! Do a search on here for K20EG.
