Two codes, check engine 41 & abs 1
ABS light came on this morning going to school, so I jumped the connectors. While finding the code for the ABS, which I think is a code 1 (1 short, long pause, 1 short, long pause, 1 short,) for ABS pump motor over-run, and I also got a check engine 41 (Primary oxygen sensor heater), although my check engine light is not on while driving the car.
What do both of these mean?
(yes I have searched, no solid information on either)

code 41 means your o2 sensor is reading something funny. check to make sure it is connected.
if your car is OBDI there is only 1 sensor in front of the cat. throwing this code means that your A/F mixture is goofed up. i threw code 41 when i did the timing belt this weekend and properly timed the intake cam, resulting in far more air being combusted, screwing up the mixture. i reset the ECU and the code went away because it learned the new mixture.

Would that still apply even if my check engine light isn't on while driving (sorry, updated the first post to tell that)? Also, in about a week I'm going to be putting on a new header and catalytic converter anyway, so I'll probably be waiting till then to get under there.
Any info on the ABS code though? I haven't tested to see if the ABS is still working or not, but it's still annoying to have to drive with the light on.

ECU code 41 is for the O2 sensor PREHEATER circuit. It's not for the signal. Unplug the sensor, look at the wires coming from the sensor. Two of them are the same color, that's the heater. There should be 10 to 40 ohms between them, with no continuity to ground. If that's not OK, replace the sensor. If that's OK, post back cause you'll have to check wiring in the car...
ABS code 1 by itself (no 2nd digit) is ABS pump motor over-run. That means when you start the car, the ABS motor has to run a long time. I guess it times out before it gets to full pressure. Could be a bad pressure switch in the ABS unit, or a bad pump? I'd have to look it up. Your best bet is to get your hands on a Helm repair manual. It's ALL in there.
