Default clutch noise

Alright, so i just finished installing a new clutch (stage 3). I buttoned everything up, and decided id go for a little test drive. Car drives great, considering I havent driven the car with a good clutch (bought with a VERY worn out clutch).

Anyways, drives fine through the gears until 3rd, it starts making a humming noise, noise gets slightly louder as i go faster, if i disengage the clutch it stops.

Now, it doesnt have this problem in any other gear, just 3rd.

Any ideas?

Default Re: clutch noise (RefuseRice)

My clutch (or who knows where its coming from) makes a humming sound also. It makes that weird sound when im going really slow, like 1-3 mph. It does it when I park the car and IM coming to a very slow stop and pressing the clutch in slowly. When the clutch is totally disengaged it doesn't make the sound. the humming noise almost sounds electronic, some what..kind of like how some speakers sound when the volume is turned up but isn't playing a song and just makes the buzzing/humming sound. It sounds exactly like how u say this: hmmmmmmm. Also, it doesn't make the sound when I stop fast, only when I stop slowly, when parking for example. Is this the same kind of humming sound your hearing? Im not saying its coming from your speakers, I was just describing it the best way I can think of right now.
