my R feels sluggish lately and using more gas , help
i have no idea, its been doing this since i took it to the drags , i have not check the compression yet
but the car definetely using more gas than before , is it because i just installed a custom 2.5" system ??? altho i have the exhaust since like 2 months ago
and also it feels lazy when take off
ive changed the spark plugs with Denso Iridium , same heat range as the replacement , according to the Denso catalog anyway ...
ill do the compression check hopefully this weekend, what sort of #'s should be expecting from a 96 JDM R engine ?? its done 130k km
thanks for reading this

How long has the problem been going on? Any mis-shifts or similar incidents? Do j00 have oil for the v-tack!?</TD></TR></TABLE>
no i have never mis-shifts , altho ONCE i tried to do flat shifting from 3rd to 4rd @ the drags , it went it smoothly , u think that would cause the problem ??? i still have the rev limiter
the problem is been there since i took it to the drags ....
and air filter, uhmm all i can say its pitch black , LOL

did you also installed 2.5" header? if so, i'm thinking your a/f ratio is off. might wanna double check your a/f ratio. since bigger piping tends to Reads more exhaust flow. Also you might want to consider doing your valve adjustment again. As you stated, you went to drag race.
Flowing more fuel into engine has nothing to do with dirty fuel filter.

He installed exhaust, not a header
Change the air filter and fuel filter, you will be surprised what a difference it can make

Yea, this would cause the car to lean out, using less fuel, not more!

more often than not a dirty fuel filter makes the car run stupid rich. I can't explain it, but it happens. I wouldn't believe it if i hadnt seen it multiple times myself.
I used to have a few articles on the subjet, but the server is gone now.
