im about to reinstall the distributor but notice that the distributor can connect to the cam shaft either one way or if i turn the part that connects to the cam it will still fit.. does it matter?

on the distributor there are two prongs stiking out that connect to the cam but there is also a indented lined on top of the grooves does it matter when re installing the dist?? thanks

 

it will only fit snug one way. if you force it in there it can go other way also.

 

the dizzy will really only want to go in one way, it's easy.
