e brake

Default e brake

well my crxs e-brake goes like almost straight up i think its to loose. how long does it take to fix and how high should it go

this is on a hatch (should be similar NOT exact)

there are two plate things on the center comsole,one infront one in back of the e-brake, lift them up there should be 2 screws in each take them out lift up the console over the ebrake. You should see the cable with 2 nuts the one nearest the driver hold in place then tighten the one towards the pasenger.

This is on a 91 si hatch just did it this week thats why i went so in depth

e-brake cable should be fully tensioned between 6-10 clicks

well i just tried working on it but i cant get the counsole out cuz the 2 screws wont loosen i sprayed with wd40 but still it isnt comeing out i need to fix it really bad any tips on how 2 get it

Just remove the cover under the ashtray and handle your business. The e-brake can be adjusted with out removing the console.
