Default Radiator install during turbo install

i am doin my turbo setup and i came to the part that i had to take off the fan that is hooked up to the radiator. the prob. was that the upper radiator hose was in the way. i took off the radiator hose and it started leaking a little. took off the fan and reinstalled the upper radiator hose will the radiator be fine? i opened the cap and it looks like it lost a little. should i put some coolant in there. will i have any bubbles or sumthing like that?

the easiest way is to open the radiator cap (when its cold, obviously) start your car and let it come up to normal operating temp. u'll start seeing bubbles come up. let it all come out, might take about 5 mins or so, in the meantime keep topping it up with coolant. do it till the bubbles are out, put on the cap, and ur good to go.

drain it
use a mixture of 50 anitfreeze/ 50 water
turn car on and let temp rise
as rad loses water add water only

I keep my reservoir tank filled halfway with only antifreeze.

thanks for the input so looks like every says drain it, fill it up w/ 50/50 , then leave cap open, then let it get to normal temps, then wait till bubbles calm down then turn off car and cap it off. correct?

The Helms will tell you to run it until the fan comes on and off twice. Longer won't hurt, but you need to make sure all the air is out of the system.

You wouldn't want to just use water, antifreeze has agents that help keep the hoses clean and keeps them from crapping out.
