Looking into B18A1 swap, help with finding parts.
I'm testing the waters of a few different swaps for my 88' civic DX, four door. This will be my daily driven vehicle, so simplicity is key (I want to keep it OBD 0).
I have taken the time to look into this swap because it seems to be a very good motor for day to day driving. Good torque and horsepower in stock form, and from what I hear, B series are very dependable motors.
Let me get to the real questions-
I'm trying to compile a shopping list for the motor to get the overall cost of this swap. As far as parts go, what all do I need? I've been researching and have come up with the motor, ecu, LS tranny, axles, motor mounts, and shift linkage. Am I leaving anything out?
Also, where would be a good place to look for these parts online? I will be searching localy as much as possible, but online is my backup. I know I can get the mounts, shift linkage, and axles from hasport. Where can I look for the motor, ecu, and tranny?
I think that is all my questions for now. Thanks in advance to those who leave helpful advice.

Don't forget oil, coolant, new hoses and belts, and all the small other things that you don't want to be having to go down to the parts store to get in the middle of doing the swap. Before you drop the motor in, I highly suggest changing the timing belt, water pump, clutch assembly, thermostat, and any other parts that could be a pain when the motor is in the car. It's so much easier when the motor is out of the engine bay. You are being wise in doing your research before hand. Do as much as you can and shop around. Try not to skimp on parts as much as possible. Use only OEM Honda parts as replacements. Might cost you a little more initially, but you can't beat the quality. As far as finding a motor source, there a several good suppliers out there, you just need to do you homework and see who's had good experiences with what company. I've had a good experience with http://www.hmotorsonline.com before. Another thing, invest in factory manuals. Well worth the price. Good luck on your project.
ebay would be a good place to look for mounts i bought mine for $200 and were polished alluminum but look into what all is involved because i didn't and ended up taking me longer to finish and costed me some cash.
if u have extra cash i would also do a poor mans rebuild. basically just new gaskets, front and rear main seals, cam seals, head, intake mani, exhaust mani, valve cover, valve cover grommets. new cap/rotor, plugs, wires, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, flush and fill coolant, new oil, you will need a few new rad hoses, maybe some new ground wires?
it will add up, but you'll get a reliable car.

i would spend an little extra to get the Hasport mounts. this guy i know got some other brand (cant remember which one) and it made his engine sit in the engine bay all funky, causing his axles to snap. he switched to Hasport and the engine is sitting in there correctly now.

As far as searching for a motor, I don't know any other distributers besides hmotors (which doesnt have a B18A listed in their stock). Should I contact hmotors and ask if they have any, since they arnt listed on their site?
