Default B16 WONT START (STARTER?)

I was out driving my car all day and it was running great, i came home for dinner and went back out afterwards and it was still running great. Later that night i went to go to wawa and it was dead, almost like the battery was dead, but its not. I jumped it and still nothing. When you turn the key, the fuel pump primes and the engine hums but nothing else. Could a wire on the starter have come off. any help would be great.

check fuses, does it go click click click when you try and start it? cause thats a bad starter then, check your wires on your starter make sure they are all there....sometimes they can slip off

Check your wire that go to the starter to make sure it didn't come off. Also, check your engine ground wires and fuses.

check your battery connection..make sure that you have good contact, and no corrosion..corrosion causes resistance to the battery and starter..

this info would help for your diag.

done swap to vehicle rec.?

has vehicle been slow in cranking lately ?

which dash lights if any come on ?

rec. repair that has been done to vehicle ?

if your car clicks when you turn the key ...chances are it is not your starter ,
if it does not click @ all when you turn the key it could be a starter , you can jump the starter off the battery or try tapping it with a screw driver (if the amreture is stuck ) otherwise i'd say you may have a coil issue, it happens even with msd!!!!

also you may the main relay in the fuse panel .... they are a very common no start issue ..

just some food for thought
