i'm still having problems with my motor. its a d16z6. my first problem was a crazy surging idle, and after some reading and advice from members, i was told to check out the iacv so i switched it for another and the surging idle went down almost completely. but the main problem right now is after the car is warm, the car would just shut off on its own, and when i try to start it, it won't start. i have to let it cool before it starts, then shut off when its warm again. what should i check out to try and troubleshoot this problem?

what did you mean? are you talking bout what i have done to try and fix the problem? so far, didn't really do much. i changed oil, trans fluid, and flushed out coolant. the iacv was replaced with one from the junkyard. i checked ll the vacuum hoses and there all routed right. i'm going to open the fitv plate and tighten the plastic piece and gonna try another iacv that i just picked up this weekend. i'm just trying to get this car running so i could drive it during the winter.

 

have you check the ignition system? spark plugs thur the coil.
