Simple ? - throttle cable boot
Simple question - actually. I wanna know what everyone recommends I do. You know the simple boot protector on the throttle cable? Well, mines ripped. Is it worth replacing? I mean, I been using some sythetic mobile-1 grease and everything temporarily, because I like to have the smooth peddle.
Anyway, Where can I get that boot, i called honda also and they just said, "take it off". I know this thing will get crapped up and start to feel like azz eventually if I leave it.
Any opinions? I know this may sound stupid, but in the past taking this boot off just made a sticky cable for crappy idle on my old nissan.
Thanks for the input!

True. I been using some grease - but thats not exactly great, it cuases some pullage over time. I started using regular carb cleaner. but I want to either replace or remove it. Just a firm believer in it, I hate dwindling, its only time before its broke in 2 and i have to remove it.
well it being split open is just about as good as not there at all, so you might as well remove. you can replace it, or just clean and oil it up a bit every once in a while.
