Hi guys,
Im busy looking for idea's on fabricating a throttle pedal for my car as i've got the Floor mounted Wilwood Clutch and Brake pedal setup, but now i need to Fabricate the throttle pedal as they dont make one..
The way i was gonna make it work was just with linkages so it would push on the orig pedal bar if u guys get what i mean. Failing fabing one up i might just buy another Wilwood floor mounted clutch pedal and modify that a bit??
Thanks in advance u guys..

Willing to spend, not more then what its gonna cost me just to buy another one off Ebay and modify that 1 slightly.. i cant use the orig pedal because im fitting my Wilwood floor mounted pedals and the sit further back then the throttle pedal meaning i would have to stretch just for the throttle pedal, bit unpracticle...
any pics of your setup? i am curious to see. also what are the advantages of the floor mounted? other than it being closer.

Sure, i just wanna fit everything first b4 i upload the pics, but i'll gladly post em here as soon as im done... The benefit i know will be for the brakes, it will be more direct, not so sloppy like the std setup on the car, the clutch shud also be much more smoother.. its a better driving style for me aswell, the bonus is they look porno in the car, but that was the last thing on my mind when gettin em.
Advantage is also all the excess weight thrown out, the whole brake pedal/clutch pedal assebmly weighs a ton as well as the brake booster and the bar running across the firewall that connects it up... lovely space in the engine bay too..
IMO the pro's far outweigh any cons there might be, in my case none.

One thing you'll find is they do not match the swing of your foot... in other words they don't have good biomechanics. Author/racecar designer Paul Van Valkenburg did some reserch on it and found the top-pivot design matched the swing of the foot and ankle much better.

You must drive german cars then da?
damn Germans and their double hinged feet . . . .
anyway, maybe you could use a second cable that goes from the floor mounted pedal up to the original linkage? Or some roller bearing attached to a pivoting rod? That might be difficult to maintain the same ratio of pedal:throttle travel tho . . . . hrmm . . . well I'm no help, good luck and post pics when your done.

Hehehehe.... yeah to hook it up isnt the problem, im gonna weld a bracket onto the orig pedal that i can bolt a rose joint onto it and then also on the new pedal so it will be directly connected. I've also decided just to buy another Clutch pedal and just make a slight modification to it and then use it as the throttle pedal atleast then it will look like u buy the complete set like that

Dude, this guy has the biggest feet with the weirdes ankles... floor pedals suite him well.
