Default d16 turbo

hi FI people...
im a turbo newbie.i understand the basic of the turbo system but no knowledge about its computer.
i asked a shop to install a custom turbo in my d16 sohc d16 engine. i have an ERL MF2 addl' injector module...
do i still need to buy a piggyback ecu (like afc or safc or vafc or emanage) or a stand alone ecu(like hondata or uberdata)to maximize the purpose of my turbo?

my boost is only 6psi and im running rich at the moment to avoid detonation.i plan to have it dynotuned in the coming days.

if yes, pls give me some idea which one of the above is the best.
thank you very much.
