srt-4 turbo on sohc
i have the chance to get a used srt-4 turbo with about 23000 miles on it. my question is about the rotation of the turbo. i have searched this forum and a few others and i can not find any info on this. is there a way to use this turbo on a sohc build up or will it be better to get another turbo. i have seen stated somewhere that the turbo spins left handed. what exactly does that mean and is there a way to mount the turbo to be able to use it.

Forget about whatever you heard.
I'm not sure what type of turbo is used on it so you may have to take some pics and post them up so we can tell you what type of adapter plate should be used.

i will do that when i get a hold of it. i was told it is the same turbo used in the evolution. what i dont understand is do they mean the impeller blades are at a different angle. i know how a turbo works and that is where i am lost on it.

The impeller angle is a detail far beyond anything you need to worry about.
There is only one way for a turbo to properly spin, they don't know what theyre talking about.

It would be like saying the toilets flush counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere and they spin clockwise in the southern hemisphere. If this was true it doens't matter anyway they both flush right!
Any turbo will fit any engine as long as you have the right flanges and what not
