All a turbo timer does is keep the car running after you have taken out the key and left to let the turbo sit for a few more seconds. A chipped ECU is for tuning. You NEED a chipped ECU and a tune, you do not need a turbo timer.

no the vafc are piggybacks and are basically useless...do it right the first time with hondata or chrome/neptune and you will be happy

VAFC's are nice for minor adjustments.

Once u have the car tuned on ur Hondata, u will be able to make small adjustments w/ ur AFC for things like really hot and cold days and stuff like that.

But to be honest, if the car is tuned correctly, u wont need to touch a damn thing.

Talk to the tuner you plan on taking it to. Most tuners will not want you to roll up with a car that is halfway put together. They will tell you what they want done.

no b.....the s300 does all.

search look read and absorb as much as you can. and as far as minor adjustments on the afc, you can only adjust fuel not timming. i wouldnt even waste my time with the afc.

so far my s300 kicks *** with the exception of one quirk, it is the cats ***.

turbo edit does.
but converting to obd1 has many benefits. just need an obd1 dizzy and 4 wire o2. and the correct injectors, but you have dsm's and just keep the resistor box.

nothing, there is a point in the ecu where it overrides the tuner, in one circumstance that i nknow of, at higher coolant temps, no matter what you tell it to do, it may pull a few degrees of timming. a complete stand alone, one that uses its own box, f.a.s.t. motec aem electromotive yada yada, the ecu does exactly what it is told.

i made 710 on s300, and there is a person or 2 out there that have made 8xx+ there is a point where a complete stand alone is needed.

this is all if i remember from last friday he hee. that day was kind of a blur.
