1st Gen B16 in 91 CRX DX
I am wanting to put a 1st gen JDM B16A in my girlfriend's 91 CRX with auto tranny. I have all the parts ready for the manual swap, the Helm's wiring manual and I'll be getting the motor package with HASport mounts. I had a few things that I can't find answers to.
First, I was told there was no US counterpart to the 1st gen B16A distributor. I know lots of people out there have the B16's and I was wondering what distributor they are using when and if it comes time to replace it? Is the PW3 or PW0 ecu a better choice or are they pretty much the same spec wise? I'm still unclear on a few other things but I'll leave those for later posts.

The distributor uses the same internal parts as a 90-91 Integra. The PR3 ECU is better if you plan to chip the ECU since there are most programs available for it.
What if you have bearing failure of the distributor housing and need to replace the distributor itself? This happened on my stock VX motor long ago and I had to buy a new distributor, but I retained my old internals.
In that case you can either buy a used OBD B16 distributor from someone or if you want a brand new one you can use one from an 88-91 Civic/CRX but you have to cut off one of the legs from what I hear. I think this also applies to the 90-91 Integra distributor housings.
