Sup everyone I just noticed out of the blue that my timing belt on my b20vtec setup has a slight tear in it, im not exactly sure where it came from. I plan on changing my timing belt asap but im not sure which to go with ?

The setup is a b16a1 1st gen head with a jdm b20b bottom end. Im also not sure if the block is using a b16 or a b18c oil pump. Do I need a b16 or b18c timing belt ? or does this question reflect on which oil pump im running ?

If your wondering why Im not sure which to go with well its because I bought the motor already assembled and wasn't sure what belt was already on the motor.

 

It depends on the water pump not the oil pump....Best thing to do it to just change the timing belt and water pump to a b20 or B18C......

 

what does your water pump say 19 or 22? on the gear

It indicates the amount of teeth on the waterpump I beleive.
