Default Need help on a turbo :plz help:

Hey guys im new to all the turbo stuff. I have a Acura integra and was wondering what is the cheapest way to turbo my car. Dayily driver about 8 or 9 psi boost on a stock enigne. How much do you thing it will cost to get all the parts. I just talked to a guy named alex on h-t yesterday he has a ls turbo he said he made himself and ran it on 14 - 16 psi i forgot. I just want something with low boost so i dont mess my enigne up. If i parted a turbo together myself how much do you think it will cost? help from anyone ?

I will piece it together for you for a small %
If not, do the math yourself! You can add I am guessing.
turbo and oil lines 500-2000
manifold & DP 500-2000
wast gate & BOV 300-600
intercooler & piping 500-2000
EMS & tuning 300-3000
Fuel system 250-1000
Here let me give you an idea... 2-11 grand

No problem. That writeup is my favorite out of all the many turbo websites I've read.

Here's another good one http://www.beesandgoats.com/bo....html

turbo and oil lines-$250
manifold & DP-$300
wast gate & BOV-$35(internal gate, dsm BOV)
intercooler & piping-$300(Johnny race car plus custom piping)
EMS & tuning-~100-300(uberdata=free, chipped ecu=50, paying someone to tune if you dont have friends could be a tad expensive
Fuel system-$100(dsm 450's)

Total=~1,600</TD></TR></TABLE>

Fixed that for you. He said he was on budget. He didn't say he wanted to flush 11k down the toilet.....
