Default Exhaust problem (Apexi Dunk

I just installed an Apexi Dunk catback exhaust 2 days ago. Everything went fine except for this rattling noise. I checked the piping and I saw that it was too close to the heat shield under the car, so I took it off. The noise decreased but there is still a rattling noise around 3000-5000rpms on 1st and 3rd gear. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Is the piping interfering with my shifter? help... The noise is killing me!!

What exhaust heat shield did you remove. If you didn't remove both (by cat. and by gas tank) I' d check that out. Also check out all the bolts to make sure they're on tight. LOL

I got my Dunk installed in the beginning of October, and about 2 days afterwards, I heard a rattling noise, but mainly when I was turning. I didn't do anything, and it's gone away.

i wouldnt remove the one above the cat, just seems like yer asking for something. what i was told to do is get some of those metal clamps (kinda like zip ties) and time them around the cat and the heatshield, they are like ~$2 at home depot. should stop your rattling! :D

Oh man, i removed my heat shield. Is there anything bad about that? Someone told it just helps reduce heat to the cat and avoid heat coming into the car.

that one keeps the hot cat from lighting dried leave or grass on firein case you park on them.
