Default what can i do to reduce still static shock on my car?

ok, this might be a bit stupid to ask, but is there anything i can do to stop or reduce getting shock by my car. most of the time it only happen when it sunny or hot outside. well, after driving, i would go open the door or to close it and i was get static. most of the time, my passengers would open the door and use their shoes to close the door becuase its that bad. so is there anything i can do? or just put up with it?

You can put these "static strips" or whatever they are called on your car. My friends dad has them on his envoy. They are just rubber strips that hang off your car and drag on the ground.
