Where do you put your jack when jacking up your lude?
Where are the safe spots to put a jack?
I know you can use the spots on both sides behind the front tire, where Honda says to place the jack. And then also the hook in the back. Where else is safe to place the jack?

I have been using the hook under the front end (more or less in the center) for a while now ... no issues so far.
The front center beam is the best place.
Look under the front/middle of your car,
you will see a tow hook.
place the floor jack there and your good to go

I also use the front crossmember - front and center, the two spots behind the wheel, or the gas tank. Ha just kidding - the tow hook for the rear.
I use the tranny to lower the engine if the mounts are loosened - like when I changed the Tbelt for example.

Well, on the 5th gen, in the front there are two hooks, one on the right and one on the left. Is that what your talking about?

My car is a 5th gen ... I only recall seeing one hook near the center. I also could just have a really bad memory too.

This is what I'm looking at:

Those two hooks? The one on the right is kind of hard to see because of the IC pipe, but it's just like the left one. Is that what your talking about?

under the cross member is the best place in the front. it's right in between the hooks you circled, right where he put the arrow. the splash gaurd kind of half circles around it i think......i can't remember because i cut my splash gaurd off. But there are 3 bolts holding in the cross member, put the jack right there. on the sides of the car there are a couple places too. there's a tab right behind the front wheel, and another right in front of the rear wheel. it's safe to place a jack there if you want to just jack up one side. this is good for when you rotate your tires.
Under the oil pan......LOL. a new oil pan is over 250 bucks from the dealer, so i suggest you jack it up from under the muffler. or on the catalytic conver. or you could even jack it up and then put another jack under one of the wheels, and jack it up even higher.........and if you could get a jack low enough, you could put one underneath that jack and double jack it up from under the wheel.
**I assume no liability if you decide to go this route, and may God have mercy on your soul.**
