Default Correct order for brake bleeding?

I have a 98 accord 4-cyl. with drums on the rear. According to the Haynes manual is says to bleed in this order: LF-RF-RR-LR. Now, many people say start from the farthest from the master cylinder and move closer: RR-LR-RF-LF. Who is correct? Or, does it really matter?

Without specific information, a good guess would be diagonally, since almost all cars have diagonally opposed wheels on the same fluid circuit. So RR-LF-LR-RF.

I really think if you bleed brakes in the wrong order, the worst that happens is maybe you have to go around a couple more 'laps' before all the bubbles are gone.

i think you bleed the one that is farthest from the master cylinder first.. and it goes from there figuring which one is the next farthest..

that was what I did with many of my cars.

you start with the furthest one, then bleed the one accross from it, then the other furtest one. i usually go RR, FL, LR, FR

you do the cross pattern because the honda brakelines are distributed diagonally

you are right.....the honda service manual only states a specific order because they thought it would be funny to make people do it to their liking.....
