I have Recently Bought a 00 Civic SI turbo.. do not have in my possion yet i bought outta state.. though i did go and look at it

The car is flawless from inside and out.. I do not know soo much about turbo's.. but heres what i can tell you

it is a stock b16a with a t-4 turbo, tial wastegate, tial b.o.v, tanabe Downpipe, A1 Header, Tanabe Full exhaust,

The engine is Stock besides a thicker Head Gasket... The boost has never been over 6psi nor under.

The engine has 30k miles on it .. and turbo was put on at 29k.. ( no boost Controller Nor Turbo Timer... From not knowing so much about turbo's.. i checked for the things i know to look for.. the engine temp was stable through test drive even getting on it a bit .. no black/blue smoke coming from back end nor from engine bay while reeving. Everything checked out fine.. car was only $10900

SOO WHATS EVERYONE THING?.. can a stock b16a internals hold up fine with everyday driving???

 

hmm..never heard of an A1 manifold..sounds like a good deal but we need some pics when you get it..

 

make sure that you know what your looking for, and that this guy isnt just telling you its boosted. See if the car was dyno tuned, what its running for fuel...injectors, fuel pump, fpr, also what he is running for Fuel Management i.e hondata, afc, etc.

 

ya you definetly want to take out the fmu and stock injectors which it prolly has in it if hes only boosting 6lbs. i cant imagine 6 lbs would be too fast with a t-4. u want to get the car dynod and tuned and have a good a/f ratio set so your running nice and safe. also what headgasket is he running? and did he have anything done when he took the head off and also find out why he took the head off.... usually you wouldnt take the head off and replace the headgasket unless you cracked it especially if ur only running 6lbs.
