STOCK B16A.. TURBO CAN IT HOLD UP FINE?
i am looking at buying a 2000 civic SI turbo.. it has a t4 turbo.. everything else tial.. the engine has 30k miles on it.. the owner said the turbo was put on at 29k.. he has no turbo timer, or boost controller.. and only has been run on 6psi.. i looked at the car it runs fine.. checked the engine temp.. and see if smoke came out the back or engine while reving.. all checked out fine
like i said the engine is stock.. other then he putting on a bigger head gasket.. so my question is will the engine last for me as a daily driver??

it should.. the turbo has a waste gate so really the boost controller is not needed and as for the turbo timer just let the car idle for a few minutes b4 you turn it off.. As long as it operates good I say go for it.. You dont' even need to get a bigger head gasket.

Not without fuel management, an engine management system and a good tune.
Get that and you should be straight, depending on how you drive.

What else is Tial besides the wastegate and blow off valve?

I have had a stock b16 in my car for a year and half now and its been through nitrous and is now boosted. Havent had the first problem out of it. With great tuning though.
