I know there has been countless threads on this. However, this is fresh and in the midst of happening. This is written in the spirit of "if anyone else can benefit from my problems" drink from the fountain of broken parts.
OK. My car:
DC2 GSR 105K miles on chassis.
Last clutch: 68K Clutch Master went out, replaced with the honda factory recall fix for the integra. Installed Clutchmasters 7.5lb flywheel, ITR PP, TOB and CM Kevlar Stage 3 disc. Worked Excellent. Left the slave cylinder.
Symptom: Today the pedal ran away from me. I thought I was feeling things... "no... it cant be the MC" I pumped it and it went away. Minutes later,
the pedal was on the floor and I was pushing my car.
Course of Action: Rebled the clutch line, rebuilt the pressure... it only pumped twice and it went to the floor. Then I went to AZ and grabbed me a Slave Cylinder.
Installed that, built pressure on it and same thing. I can push some pressure out of the pedal, but light pedal pressure makes the pedal run away and hide. To eliminate any confusion, I removed the clutch line from the tranny and C clamped the Slave to keep the piston from pushing out. I figure that if the clutch pedal pushes against that and then sinks again... I have a failed MC. So... I took the advice of my buddy Jason and did the C clamp trick. Same deal. I can feel the thing hit a brick wall, but then the pedal fades.
All this and I still might have to do a plate, disc and flywheel surface. Not fun, oh well. Thats the breaks. Any comments welcome, I will be updating this thread with info as I progress into a yet again operational Integra.
