Default What Turbo is Right for me? :)

I have been lurking around and im starting to get some money togeather to do my Turbo project and im trying to find the right turbo for my application.
Im going to be making a Custom Kit for my 94 GSR

I want a turbo that spools fast im not into straight line speed im more of a Autocross man.
Im only looking to run about 6-8 psi Probly 6.
and i dont want to pay like a billion dollars for it.

can anyone recomend me a turbo?

Also is it worth getting a junkyard turbo and rebuilding it or is that a bad idea for my application?

Thank you for any HELP you may have.

it depends on what quality turbo setup you want to do, what is your budget? If you are on a limited budget, I would nail down the fuel management first. Then work on hardware. You can get turbo out of the junkyard and have it be good. mine was.
How much power are you wanting to make?

250 whp fast spool low budget I'd look into getting a stock 300z turbo. A nice gt25 will spool fast and should make that goal of 250whp without too much hassle.

Mitsu 16g or 18g will spool fast and get you around 200-300whp

do you know what you're talking about? or the guy that posted before you?

lets see, the kid has a GSR that rev's to 8k rpm and is 1800cc.

hmmm.....that will **** up a 18g's, 14b's and a 60 trims compressor maps. Unless you want to end up like me with a turbo that falls out of boost you're going to have to get something with a nice fat map. Such as a 50 or 57 trim T3/T4.

This is expecially true when you want to only run 6 psi. 6psi on a 14b will net you jack crap
