Are both O2 sensor plugs on the engine harness? I have a 97 ex manual harness but I cannot find the plug for the secondary O2. PLease help me out...

 

thats because the secondary o2 plugs into the chassis harness, on the non-vtec models(such as dx and lx) they plug into the engine harness, but on the y8 it's the chassis

 

how would u get the chassis harness cause i have the same problem too? and how do u plug it to the ecu?

usually the plug goes inside the cabin of the car in front of the shifter portion. there should be a plug in there if your car was equipped with 2nd 02. otherwise you will need to run to ecu

You can get them from importautosalvage.com for about 100 bucks. However..it runs throughout your entire dash, so take a good look and realize that your entire dash has to come apart to replace it.

 

It is more trouble than it is worth, personally it's worth the couple extra bucks and go for the obd1 conversion

 

okay but explain this to me though. If you're saying the secondary O2 harness is on the chasis, Where does the wires run, to get into the ecu? Cause as of right now, My harness is all plug into the ecu. So if this is the case, then how does the EX gets its secondary O2 signal into the ECU?

 

Before your ecu, your engine harness and chassis harness connect via a green plug. This is where the connection is made

 

When I took out the harness from the EX, I don't remember disconnecting and any plugs from the engine harness that connects to the chasis harness.

 

You had to...its there, its near your ecu
