a head gasket usually goes beween them....

 

Is it oil? Is it antifreeze? Is it beer? What exactly is leaking? Do you have a picture?

But as skunk2eg said, a headgasket is usually between the block and cylinder head.

 

Headgaskets are for pussies. Just machine them to sit right agianst each other.

JB Kwik that head on there and you can be driving around in 4 minutes!

 

a. leak&gt;leek
b. headgasket. if it's both oil and coolant (white foamy ****) you've got yourself a blown headgasket. are you sure it's not the valve cover gasket? is the leak above/below where the header bolts up?
^^i'm going with the jb weld. jb weld owns all!

 

i just replaced my valve cover gasket. and its just oil.
