Default opinion on srp pistons.

i just recently built my LsVtec : stock bore 9:1 srp pistons, eagle rods, block guard. the head is a b16 pnp with ported runners and port matched, 65mm tb (i kno a lil small) rc 440 injectors ( 4 sale in favor of 650s ) stage 3 t3 turbonetics turbo. ect .......

i plan on changing the turbo, injectors, im and tb. pretty much i heard those piston are NOT as good as all the other pistons but they are made by je. can i get some feed please because i don't wanna attempt to make more power than those pistons can support. my goal is 400ish when all said and done. thanks

There are several people on this board who have made a reliable 400whp on SRP pistons. Also, a 65mm tb is not too small.

I'm putting some SRPs in my D16 later this week. As long as the ringlands are stronger than stock that's all I need from them.

I blew out my cylinder walls 2"by2" hole and the pistons still held up.

glad you asked this question i was wondering how they fared in comparison to the arias 8.8 comp. slugs which i wanted but i dont want to bore my block .020 over and i do need to bore it .010 over as i melted a piston recently

i also have the SRP's on my built motor

i have spiked to 20 psi like 3 times and it held fine

the high silicone content will allow u to have tighter tolerances

the one thing that made me buy cp's... even on their website they state that srp pistons should be used for limited nitrous or forced induction use

That's only to get you to spend more money on the custom JE's.
