i'd go US spec b16a2....lower comp I believe than the JDM ones and also newer (w/ less miles). Also, B16b cams are very agressive and ignition timing will be an issue as well as the higher compression (2nd highest on all b series?)

I cant wait to see what you lay down.

Youve got impressive numbers already, having 600ponies under your right foot is lots of fun I expect.

did you do anything to the transmission to strenghen it or changeout the final drive? and what driveshafts are you using?

Cheers

talk about lag.. that b16b doesnt even hit over 100whp until almost 6,000 rpm.. with that kind of spool there is no way its streetable. I'll be willing to bet you could step on it at 2,000 rpm in 4th and when it hits full spool at almost 7,000 rpm the tires break loose

well you do size your turbo to your application dont you. What you say will be true but its still drivable on the street, just you have to be high up in the rev range to spool.

Ever driven a 600 WHP FWD honda? I'll give you an idea of what it's like on the street.

WOT --- waiting ---- waiting - SPOOL- BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP as the tires break lose, shift
waiting ---- waiting - SPOOL - BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP as the tires break lose, shift

oh, I just shifted into fourth, but since I was spinning so ungodly hard I'm actually only going 50 MPH, now I'm going to bog down big time and have to downshift

It sounds great on paper, but 600 WHP on the street I didn't find all that fun. Something in the range of 400-450 WHP is enough so that you can beat 99.99% of what else is driving with 4 wheels out there, but not so powerful that it smotes the tires from any speed.

yeah but 400-450 wont beat 700hp v8's and supras. I realise not everyone lives in an aera where there are lots of those, but if you live Miami/ft lauderale. u know what I mean.. well in a hatch it can be done but not a coupe I dont think.

700 HP = approx. 600 RWHP through a stick. A 600 RWHP supra is going to be running low 130 traps, so is an LS1 camaro. A 600 RWHP fox body mustang is going to be going mid-high 130's, 450 WHP will take care of mid 130 traps in a hatch, so why not? 600 WHP should be good for well over 140 MPH traps, even in a full interior coupe.
