Z6 and Y8 Crank...interchangable?
I dont want to say yes without being 100% sure. So I didnt vote.
The part number for z6 crank is 13310-PM6-010
EDIT:
the pn for the crankshaft out of a '99 ex is 13310-P2E-010. From what I understand that model car comes with a y8.
I dunno when the civics started to get d17's.

maybe he has a bad crank and has the other available to him.
As far as I am aware, they are the same. I have used D16A6 cranks in Z6 blocks....I wouldn't think twice about it

I will tell you FOR SURE by 2 days. I really hope they do but i dont know. The oil pump and seal fits but the other crank seal (actually the whole metal piece that holds the seal) on the transmission side DOES NOT FIT. im going to order one from honda and we will all find out for sure.
WHY AM I DOING THIS RETARDED MOD??? my block blew so i got my hands on a d16y8 block for 35 bucks.

We know the crankshaft works, just need to know if the crank pulley from a y8 will fit a z6. I know I tried to put a a6 pulley on and it wouldn't clear the timing cover

The cranks don't add any power. You are referring or the person who told you was referring to the differences in stock power
125hp for the Z6
127hp for the Y8
The differences are in the port and combusition chamber design so the crank will make no difference.

now what if you changed out the crank and i/e manifolds...would you increase more then 2hp? Or would it still be at 2hp?
Im guessing it'll be the same...

Will ya'll shut up about HP gains. That's not why the guy who is trying to buy the crank from me wants it! We just need to know if the crank pulleys are interchangeable and will it clear the timing belt cover?
