B16 timing mess
I swapped a first gen B16 into my 90 teg using all my B18a injectors, wiring , distributer ect . I can't get the ******* thing from fouling out the #1 plug . I've been lining the timing up with the slash that is on the timing belt cover is that right or should the red timing mark be straight up ? there isn't a timing pointer like on my old B18a . thanks
The red timing mark should be lined up with the pointer on the lower timing belt cover.
Have you tried checking timing at night? It's way easier to get it exact.
I set timing for the first time yesterday. Looked good during the day. Checked it at night and found it a few degrees off.
Did you tune the car up?
Maybe you have an injector that's staying open. Try swapping.
How does the car drive? I assume you're using a pr3.

I'm running a pwo ecu and everythings new polugs wires ect . You do line the red line up with that line on the timing belt cover the line is kind of at an angle on the front of the car side of the crank pulley ?
It isn't driveable it fouls out the plug in just a minute or two . It is completely black in just a few minutes and a couple of revs . I thought about the injectors I didn't have any to swap with so I moved the #1 plug injector to see if it would cause this in another cylinder but the #1 cylinder fouled out anyway .
