3-2 mishift >.<
I accidently did a 3-2 misshift. My rpm's shot up past 10k. The engine seems to be running fine but my clutch feels weird. Can i have some suggestions and any simple checks i can do to make sure everything is ok? Im bringing in the car on tuesday for a service. Any suggestions would help.

When I did a 3-2 misshift, I broke 2 of the 3 straps on the pressure plate. Perhaps you broke only one? Compression and leak down would also be a good idea.
did the same thing and was picking parts of my pistons out of my header. You got damn lucky to just have a clutch problem. Good luck though
I guess i am lucky. Will do the compression test first thing... thanks a lot for the posts guys.

I would suggest not driving it at all until u buy a compression tester. SOunds like u are trying to drive it to the dealer.

Wut rpm were u at when u misshifted to get over 10k. For daily driving i shift gear at like 3k rpm so even if i misshift into 2nd i just hit Vtec, and its all good.

this is why 3k is my best friend in the weekdays, and 8.2k on the weekends

if engine is running fine....i'd guess the pressure plate.....buddy drove my car....4th to 3rd miss......grrrrrr....why was he racing my car......ended up he just exploded the clutch...basically nothing left....

I also bent 4 exhuast valves and messed up a CV joint.
