compression test problems, please help
first, i was doing a compression test on my gsr and got a solid 120,120,120,120. they are all exactly the same, but it seems a low. any suggestions?
second, i was using the deep reach adapter on the end of the compression tester. then in the last cylinder and when i unscrewed the compression tester, the deep reach adapter was stuck in the cylinder. i tried multiple times to get it out. any suggestions on how to get it out? please help, thanks.

That happened to me once. I had a pair of LOOONG needle nose pliers and managed to get it out. On the compression, did you crank the motor enough times to build up enough pressure?

thanks for the advice, i will try that in the morning. btw, did you just use the pliers and untwist the adapter? if not, what did you do? thanks again.

i used some loctite and it did the trick. also, re-did the compression test with the engine warm and i got 190,190,200,200. so compression looks good across the board.
but, i noticed that i vacuum seems a little low (15inHG at idle), anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? thanks.

I did a test a few days ago...when the engine was cold, real cold, like hasn't run in 6 months and got 90,90,90,90 across the board. Once i get some coolant in im gonna let it run for awhile and see what it does. It starts fine and idles nice, no smoking, etc. Im hoping those numbers are from it being cold or that my timing may be off.

Re: (nine nine si)
You can get compression testers at Napa, Autozone, PepBoys, etc.. They are fairly inexpensive, running anywhere from $25 to $70 depending on the make etc.
