JDM B16A into 92 Civic Hatch, Distributor wont work what do I use
I need some help we have a JDM B16A from a 88 - 91 civic an we are putting it in a 92 civic cx, an we need to know what distributor to use for the OBD1 we already tried a b16a3 from a del sol an it won't fit, what can we do to get this problem solved
if I'm correct a b16a3 is 96-97 del sol and is obd 2 not obd 1.
you can use a jdm 92-95 b16a/b,b18c, usdm 94-95 b16a, 94-95 gsr distributor.
but if you are in a bind/budget (ghetto) you can use a rs/ls distributor by cutting one leg of the distributor off. or if you have the distributor from an obd 2 you can re-wire it or just trade it for a obd 1.

I used a TD22U, look it up from Distributor King to make sure the holes line up.

yup
yup
If its a problem of the plugs not fitting go to a junkyard and cut off a the plug from the same year as your harness. All the colors are the same from obd1 and obd 2 so imagine the colors are still the same.
