i had my turbo now for 2 and a half weeks and now i have a squelling noise coming from the turbo at low rpms and when i get on and the rpms climb the noise goes away, does the squelling mean that the bearings are going out in the turbo or is it something else. please let me know.

 

First thing i think of is the bearings..but yet agoin could be shaft wiggle..was this turbo new or used?

 

it was used but i checked the shaft play before i installed it. and the kid i bought it off of only used it for like 10 miles before his car blew up and i was thinking it might be the seals from when it blew up from being so hot.

 

hmmm..just thinking that if his engine blew the turbo got really ****** hot fried the seals and the turbine expanded so much that is unbalanced now..i dont know man it could be so many things..take it to a shop is ur best option...

 

When the engine is off, check to see if you have any shaft play on the turbine.
