b-series timing belt question?
i was wondering if anyone has a pic from a helms manual on where the timing marks line up specifically the crank gear (gear behind the crank pulley)
- does the line on the crank gear line up with the one on the oil pump?
- or should i just line up the crank pully timing mark straight up?
- or just make sure cylinder #1 is at tdc and forget the marks?
- cams both positioned stright up

Yes.
This has to be lined up, along with the cam gears. Dont use the crank pulley.

I already posted that
You can line up the cams and drop a 5mm pin punch through the cam caps into the cams, and then they wont move at all. its very handy.
