BAN...
No but seriously, if you are just going for looks get some 15's if you want some real performance and some tires that will really stick go ahead and grab some 16's.

thank you, the one person that takes something else into perspective, an important aspect.

i went thru this myself.
either look good
performance wise, the only thing 16's have over 15's is .5" in width for most normal rims.
of course you can find 15x7's too.
with 15's...
tires cheaper,
rims lighter,
handling is more predictable
ride quality is better
plus, I actually like the way a properly done 15" wheel eg looks over a 16"
yes 16" can look even better, but the car wont function for ****,
16's look a bit awkward unless the car is ****** slammed and your running 205-40's which are some skinny *** ****** tires( have fun with that breakaway point and camber wear).

imo, i like 16's better, with 205/40's they look good on any car.
if you dont care about price of tires i'd go with the 16's, i dont see how you can think that a 15 inch wheel with a 50 series tire is going to have better handling characteristics than a 40 series 16.
goods and bads of a 15:
goods:
lighterweight
cheaper tires
less road noise
fit nicer
bads:
dont fit over big brakes
without good suspension setup, ride can be bouncier
16" goods and bads
goods:
look better
better braking (less sidewall flex)
better handling
all..well most big brake kits fit
bads:
more expensive (wheels and tires)
fitment problems when slammed
faster tire wear (in some cases)
its your car man, get what you want. search for eg's with slips and see what you like better, people say slips are being played out, but i havent seen a car with them in over 4 months good luck with your purchase and decision
