Default alternative to hondata

Just wondering if there are any other {cheaper} alternatives to hondata. I need something very basic but reliable to tune jsrc on teg. Spent quite a bit of money and am going broke fast! Just need something very basic that will help with management and can be fairly easily tuned. There are so many different types of management ....so just need some advice

My only argument with that is by the time I invest in cartech fmu, boost controller and ect I could have bought hondata.

I agree. A lot of people say that you might as well go with hondata because all the right "piggyback" systems cost just as much and give you less stuff to tune.

If you look hard, maybe you can get a good deal on a AEM-EMS. Bit pricey, but no burning chips, and you can tune it yourself with a computer. I love mine.

As other's have suggested, Uberdata would most likely fit your needs perfectly. Also, I know you mentioned that you've spent quite a bit of money on the setup so far, but I'd strongly advise you not to make one of the most common mistakes -- spending a lot on a nice setup and then skimping on the tuning portion. Tuning is extremely important (especially where FI is concerned), and it doesn't make sense to invest in a setup and then risk engine damage and inferior power output by cutting corners with the tuning. An Uberdata setup is relatively inexpensive (the software itself is freeware) and yet should give you plenty of tunability.

Where can you buy this.. Ive heard people talking about this product.

Would you need seperate things to control boost, and feul pressure, or does this unit do it all?

I really do plan on going hondata very soon. I just hope that the jrsc FMU will last me untill I'm able to get hondata up and running. Everything seems to be ok, but i still am wanting to be POSITIVE on my fuel management. Last thing i want is a pile of money going KA boom. Exaust smells rich, a/f meter showing o.k. fuel pressure is good, ect. the only worry i have is the plugs are a little more white than i would like.......but no detonation sound or anything other than plugs to suggest a lean mixture. my tuner is about 2 hours away and i don't want any problems b/f i can get to him. I've been driving around town for about 2 weeks and have had no problems, but the "little trip" worries me a little:}

Also ...this may be a dumb question but i'll ask anyway. i know jrsc fmu is 5:1 raise,but everyone is saying go Cartec or ect. most of them are 12:1 fuel raise. Can I just switch them out and adjust fuel pressure or do i need to go with a 5:1 disc in the Cartec?
