Default Hondata question

ok this is a question pertaining to devices eliminated by running a hondata ecu. would i need: an air/fuel controller (such as Apexi SAFC), FMU, boost dependant FPR, or map sensor bypass valve? i see in certain posts by running a hondata system you dont need certain components on a turbo engine.

you don't need any of those piggy backs. Hondata replaces and improves on them. All you need is Hondata, a 1 to 1 rise rate fuel pressure regulator, and the appropriate sized injectors for your application (440's are the best choice for boost). HTH

exactly...
I have the Hondata 3B installed with an Fmax turbo. All you need is a good fuel pump (I put in the Walbro High Pressure 255L), B&M fuel regulator (will have to set to 50psi since its lower limit with the new fuel pump is 40psi), RC440s.

If you are running no more than 12psi, you will not need a new MAP sensor and you will not need any check valves at all since the hondata will be reading your boost and adjusting your fuel maps. You will need a dyno and A/F meter to set your maps though.

hondata had my car for about 6 weeks over the summer. here's how they set it up.
-aem fpr
-pre existing accel in-tank fuel pump
-rc 440cc injectors (even though i brought them 550's)
-gm 3-bar map sensor
that's it. the hondata does the rest. you might want to get an ignition too.
the system is very nice. drives like a honda would if it came turbo from the factory. i really like the staged rev limit options... launching.. full throttle shifts. im very happy with it.
