Default B18a1 Swap Problem *HELP*

We finally finished my swap, but I had a few questions?

For the o2 sensor does it need to be from a integra, or will any 4 wire o2 sensor work? My civic o2 sensor slides in the clip from the LS harness but it does not lock in, so not sure what to do.

Idling and stalling . . . . i'm currentlky running a bone stock LS ECU and well at idle it's either idling low, or when I push the clutch in to go into neutral and slow down at a stop light or sign the rpms just drop and the car dies out. Not ure what could be the problem on that one . . . . could it be that the valves maybe need adjusting?

Last but not least . . . there are a few plugs from the LS harness that have no home in my engine bay . . . mainly by the left strut tower. My spoeedometer is not working and I have no clue as to what plug is for that & I need it because I got pulled over for doing 65mph in a 40mph zone because my speedo was broken and I had no idea how fast I was going.

My 1/2 shaft does not go all the way into the tranny, my friend has the same kind of car a 92 civic ex 4 door and he said everything worked for him, so it should work for me, right? Could a motor mount be broken or something? Not sure what would be the cause of it not going in all the way.

Any help you guys can bring to any of these issues would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Any 4-wire o2 sensor will work. Also make sure the VSS is hooked up on the tranny. That might solve the speedometer issue. Which half shaft are you using? Assuming it's a b-series one, it should fit. Just might take some force to get it in there though. Are you throwing any check engine lights? That would be something I'd also take into consideration when fixing these problems.

If you are swapping a b18a into your car that means that you're using a cable tranny.
If you are using the cable tranny then you'll have to replace the speed sensor with your sohc speed sensor.
There are 3 bolts that hold the 1/2 shaft in place. If the 1/2 shaft isn't in the tranny all the way, then I'm guessing that you're not using the 3 bolts.

BEFORE YOU READ THIS I DONT CARE ABOUT SPELLING SO DONT FLAME!!!!!

in relation to the half shaft (by the way im vtec92civics friend using his name for this one particular post).

the 3 bolts do line up to the 3 holes and there still is a little gap at the trannie side. we did have to tap the half shaft in to get the bolts to line up with the block. At the moment they do line up and it bolts up to the block fine = theres still is that gap (maybe a 1/4 or 1/2 an inch gap). suggestions or has anyone ran into that problem before?

My friend told me its a 93 motor and IT HAS a hydro trannie.. his 4 door HAD A hydro z6 trans... is it reccommended we swap out the VSS from the z6 trans to the b18 hydro trans?

the o2 sensor.
we're using the 4 wire sensor that is for a z6, would that cause a conflict with the b18 integy o2 sensors?
I have the wiring diargrams for the o2 sensor so i know the plug should have (THIS IS FOR A B18A1/obd1)
a white/red , a green/blue , a yellow/black , orange/black.
the o2 sensor we have (z6) is an aftermarket (the wiring on it is 2 blcaks/2 whites).
I understand based on the wiring diagram for a z6 the o2 sensor should have a BLACK , BLACK , GREEN or GREEN/WHITE , WHITE
,is there an issue there? the plugs do click into each other.... does my friend have to go and buy an o2 sensor MADE for a b18A1?

with the current o2 sensor we have plugged in the A/f guage is inoperable and the car is throwing a code (he's gotta autometer guage and an a/f guage in the auto timer).
