i have no cat and no o2 sensor, my freind that built the car bought the swap so the harness was done, it is supposedly a 98 acura ls motor that they converted to obdI the car throws an o2 code and a wheel speed sensor code. the car that the swap was in before was running stand alone and they clipped the o2 wire from the harness my freind that did the swap tried wireing in the primary o2 and had no luck all data says that there is supposed to be 2 or 3 o2's but ive read that only the primary is needed i still get 32 mpg's is this a problem? i notice no power loss but i do have a little rough cold idle' any ideas?

Yes, it is a problem.

Yes, you only "need" an upstream/primary/mixture sensor. Secondary sensors are for emissions only and if you are OBD1, you dont have secondary sensors anyway.

if i wire the o2 in again how do i go about it? the wire is clipped from the harnes because of the stand alone ran on the previous car i am a welder so i can punch a hole in the exhaust and weld the bung in for it will placement matter? and it being a 98 motor with an obdI conversion would that constitute the code still being thrown when he tried wireing it in the first time?
