How to remove tinting
I cant remember where I heard this tip from, but if you have an empty spray bottle you can use warm soapy water too.
EDIT: if you are doing the rear window I would just say be VERY CAREFUL when working around the defrosting lines. Dont run your razor over the lines, just work around it. Maybe once all the tint is off, you can use a scrub pad and soapy water to remove the gummy residue.

Ammonia and heat along with a hefty trashbag. Spray Ammonia onto the window, apply trashbag, let it soak in the sun or heat it up with a hair dryer, the glue should come over very easily.
Razor blade and soapy water...careful not to scratch the glass! For the rear, I recommend taking it to a shop. Good shops have a steam machine that will take off tint and leave no residue.

agreed. when i first got my crx about six years ago, it had some shitty *** bubbled up purple tint. i hated it so much that i tried, very carefully, using a razorblade on the hatch glass...needless to say, my defroster never worked again.

get some amonia spray on windows let it soak on for about 2 hours spray that **** on thick. The afteer two hours try pulling one side of it any side will work...then keep spraying under neath it as you pull off. After tent is off it will leave a nasty gooy layer. get some high germ leathal glass cleaner they kinda they use in schools. spray it on and go behind it gently with a razor blade it will come right off.
