How will a crank give you more boost?

Do you mean an upgraded pulley for the supercharger?

I don't know but it is smaller which will turn the charger faster and the upgrade pulley for jrsc is a crank pulley

What kind of set up did he have when he had tried the crv pulley.
Motor?
Car?
Year?
charger?
pulleys?
fuel managment?
boost control?

he went from 6psi to like 4 or 2. i forgot which one. i don't know what caused him to run less psi. i thought it was very weird.

Any info would be helpful if you don't mind see if you can find out any more on his set up and if he had another problem that might have coused the loss in boost

I just bought my car last week so i don't have full details but from what my Honda buddys tell me I have the JRSC and a CRV crank pulley, I'm putting out about 10-11lbs of boost though its around 12 right now with the colder weather creeping in.

When I talked to Jackson Racing earlier today though they told me that what I have is impossible. They said I have to have a smaller alternator pulley or something but my friends swear its all stock cept the CRV crank pulley.

why use a crv pully? Endyne makes pully's for the JRSC up to 14 psi. Granted the teflon wrap on the rotors will flake off, but thats why JRSC sucks. If you supercharge, go vortech. BEST overall design, MOST expensive.

had a friend who put a crv pulley on an 99si. It put the boost somewhere around 10psi. Worked prety well for a little while, until he eventually blew his motor. Ran a best of 12.9. The crv crank pulley is actually larger, which turns the supercharger a bit quicker.

Is it suggested to go with something like the Endyne setup instead of doing the CRV pulley?

So how long have you had the crv pulley on your set up? I'm not worried about my motor i just had it rebuilt with forged pistons and rods type r intake valves and stiffer valve springs. I'm more worried about the charger which has just been rebuilt and then replaced by magnuson after the rotor bearing was defective and locked up the charger. I also have a aem ems and warbro fuel pump with 440 injectors. Never the less i have a a new crv pulley from honda but thinking about returning it and getting the JRSC crank pulley which is only 2 to 3 lbs where jackson says that the crv pulley should make about 3 to 4 lbs. So what do you think i should do?

That would be up to you. I'm actually contemplating taking mine off and just putting the stock pulley back on as I'm pushing 12lbs right now and its only going to keep going up as it gets colder.
