i have a 94 integra ls and my shifter or something with my transmission maybe is wrong. i cant put it in reverse! all of my other gears work but i cant put it in reverse it feels like its stuck but im not sure what it is. i was planning to check out the bolt and see if its lose or see if it needs some grease, can anyone help me on this? please i need help!

 

Check out the shift linkage and look at the base of the shifter. Unless your burned out in reverse or did something stupid to your car, your problem is prolly the shifter or the linkage

 

you wouldnt happen to have a short throw shifter would you? Ive heard that they cause problems but im not 100% sure on it. check out your linkage like DA9r said maybe even try draining old tranny fluid out and putting new fluid in and see if anything happens. Is your tranny fluid pretty old?

 

no i have the stock one my friends tell me shifter linkage or change the oil too but ever since i finish racing a is300 my gears started to get all hard and i couldnt put it in right it became hard to put in gear so maybe the bolt is loose? im not sure but ima check the linkage n change the transmission oil this weekend and ill give ya feedback on it thanks for the feed back appreciate it

 

do you have regular oil in your tranny or mtf?
